At the age of 10 Vincent began painting in oil, studying at the Hazleton Art League. At the age of 14, he was studying painting, drawing and art theory in New York City under the guidance and tutelage of Albert Pels. An accomplished portrait artist by age 17, Vincent diverted from his artistic endeavors and matriculated at Albright College, Reading, PA for a dual degree in Liberal Arts and Engineering.

Vincent's pursuit of higher education was interrupted by a tour of duty in the UnitedStates Army that lasted for a period of 2 years 10 months and 2 days, but who was counting. Upon returning to academia, Vincent obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics with honors and a Master of Science Degree in Mineral Economics from Penn State University, University Park, PA. Following graduation, Vincent had a successful career in business that spanned a period of 25 years with such companies as Chase Manhattan Bank, ARCO Petroleum, and Cyprus Amax Minerals Company.

In 1999, he and his wife Penza moved to Nantucket, thereby providing the means and opportunity for a full-time pursuit of his artistic expression. His studio is located on his property at 132 Surfside Road and is open to visitors by appointment only.

A member of the Artists' Association of Nantucket, in 2002, he was named the Association's promising new artist.
